An obelisk erected by the residents of Redcliffe commemorates the landing of Surveyor General Lieutenant John Oxley. The obelisk also contains a tribute to Matthew Flinders
It measures 8.3cm (3.3") by 8cm (2.1") and a touch over 1.5cm (0.6") deep it's in fantastic condition with some very light wear to the gold edging in a couple of spots but no chips, cracks or crazing or damage to the image.
