Patons Book 768 The Country Cousins Jackets and Jumpers for casual wear. OOP
 
 
A vintage knitting pattern book with 20 pages, including the covers.
 
It contains patterns and pictures for knits including a polo-collared jumper with raglan sleeves, banded straight across the top and over the sleeves with a Fair Isle design. It is complimented by a head hugging cap with Fair Isle design and pom pom; a bulky pullover in Fsiherman's Rib, boldly striped at the hemline and sleeves. The band of colour around the turtle neckline is sewn on after the garment is knitted. It has a matching cap with a giant pom-pom; a Fair Isle sweater with a high crew neckline; a bulky jacket with a front-opening zip, and an upstanding mandarin collar. It is knitted in moss stitch interrupted by a strong design of cabled stripes; a pullover banded at the bottom, with a pattern of broken cables. More broken cables run rings around the sleeves, the stand-away collar and matching cap; soft pullover with raglan sleeves and little zip in the front. Crochet edges the hem, sleeves, neckline, forms a tassel for the zip and is repeated again on the pixie-pointed hood that tucks into the neckline; a jacket crocheted in shell stitch with long, slightly flaring sleeves and a portrait-style collar that stands a little way from the neckline and finally a pullover knitted in toning stripes, crosshatched with narrow black bands of crochet, then embroidered with diamonds in knitting stitch.

It is in good vintage condition. It has the usual amount of wear and tear for a vintage pattern book. It has two holes in it corresponding to holes punched for a ring binder. It has minor signs of wear and tear and some pen marking.
 
 
All pattern books are in the usual vintage condition, with a range of wear and tear including some markings, some pen marks, small holes, small tears and/or repair with tape. All the pages are present and accounted for. All the patterns are readable in their entirety.
