It contains patterns for a matinee jacket with close shell stitch, crocheted onto a plain yoke of double crochet. It has double edges all around in the same double crochet, and is finished with three pert buttons down the centre front of the yoke. A treble crocheted coat with a slightly shaped skirt. The sleeves are raglan, and the collar is a face-framing Peter Pan. Around the bottom of the bonnet is a flap to tuck snugly inside the coat collar. Linked lacy chains make a delightful shawl and cot cover, and a pram cover which is doubled by contrast backing. They're all crocheted in a simple, but intricate-looking triple stitch. And, ribbon is threaded through the frilly picot edges, to end in perky bows at all corners. A romp-about casual sweater that opens extra-wide at the neck. The neckline is a straight band, from shoulder to shoulder, caught smartly on either side with two buttons. The hems at the sleeves and lower edges are a long wearing double thickness of double crochet, and the sleeves are set-in. A dress crocheted in lacy shell stitch. It's gathered onto a high, double crochet yoke. The yoke is fastened with press studs at the back. It has scalloped edging on the sleeves, neck and hem. A lacy matinee jacket with a skirt of linked shell stitch gathered to a plain yoke. The set-in sleeves are unshaped, but look belled when worn. The edges are prettied with lacy scallops. The bootees are crocheted in a combination of plain double crochet and shell stitch, and finished with a ribbon tie.
