This vintage school case was all the rage in the 1950's and 60's. Every child had one to carry their stuff to and from school.
 
It has significant wear and tear but is structurally sound. The clasps have surface rust but still function securely.
 
Overall it is in good vintage condition for its age.
 
It would make a great home decor item, or as part of a display or theatre production.

It measures 30.7cm x 19.5cm with a depth of 11.9cm.
 
I think it is made of that cardboard fibre. I think the patterned covering is what school books are covered with.
 
It has the usual markings, scuff marks and indentations of a vintage school port. The plastic handle has some gouges. The latches on the fasteners need to be lined up with the catch to close them but are very strong once closed.
