Vintage Smiths Clock , Sold As Is , Has Not Been Checked By An Electrician, Not Working

This classic Smiths Clock has the original workings. The electrical cord has been cut and I am unable to tell if it would work.
It has a front diameter of 24.3cm, back diameter of 21.4cm and thickness of 7.5cm.
It appears to be in good vintage condition. The hands move when you push the knob in.
As with all electrical goods it is legislated that only suitably qualified electricians work on them.
This item has not been checked for electrical safety.
The front is glass and the sides are metal. They have some paint remnants on them. The clock face has some markings.
It is in good vintage condition.
