Vintage Patons Knitting Book - No. 956 Crochet Treasures

Vintage pattern book consisting of 20 pages (including the covers) of crochet patterns and pictures.
 
It contains patterns for baby jumper with raglan sleeves and yoke in half trebles and body worked in a star stitch. A round neckline with a button opening at the back. A crocheted shawl made up of motifs. A jacket with half trebles on raglan sleeves, yoke and front and lower edges. the body is worked in a simple combination of trebles, chains and clusters, and the Peter Pan collar in half trebles is finished with dainty shell edging. A dainty warm dress with double crochet sleeves and yoke. The yoke is embroidered with lazy daisy flowers. The bubbly stitch in the skirt combines trebles and double crochet and the button opening is on the left side of the back yoke. Rosettes crocheted and sewn on to make dainty trimming for a dress-up set of jacket, bonnet and bootees. It consists of basic trebles with shell edging. Kicking pants worked in double crochet, buttoned at the shoulders and tied with a twisted cord at the waist. A choice of two necklines, and embroidery may be added for a girl. A dress, robe and bonnet with lacy stitch for the material lined skirt. The front of the bonnet has lacy stitch and the back is shaped in half trebles. Bubly edge trims neck and bonnet. Layette - the pitchers have plain double crochet front with frilly shell pattern at the back and 3 buttons on each side. Dress has raglan sleeves and yoke in double crochet, skirt in shell pattern. Jacket has all-over shell pattern. Pom-pons finish the crochet chain at neckline. Bonnet, with centre panel in double crochet, has shell pattern on rounded side panels and ties with crochet chain tipped by optional pom-pons. Bootees are in double crochet with shell pattern tops and crochet ties.

It is in good vintage condition. It has the usual amount of wear and tear for a vintage pattern book.. The cover has come partly loose and has been repaired with tape. One copy has holes punched in it for storage in a folder.
 
 
 
All pattern books is in the usual vintage condition, with a range of wear and tear including some markings, some pen marks, small holes, small tears and/or repair with tape. All the pages are present and accounted for. All the patterns are readable in their entirety.
